PSALM 118

Thanksgiving for the LORD’S Saving Goodness.

1 Give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to the LORD ^H3068, for He is good ^H2896;

For His mercy ^H2617 is everlasting ^H5769.

2 Let Israel ^H3478 say ^H559,

“His mercy ^H2617 is everlasting ^H5769.”

3 Oh ^H4994 let the house ^H1004 of Aaron ^H175 say ^H559,

“His mercy ^H2617 is everlasting ^H5769.”

4 Let those who [fn]fear ^H3372 the LORD ^H3068 say ^H559,

“His mercy ^H2617 is everlasting ^H5769.”

5 From my distress ^H4712 I called ^H7121 upon [fn]the LORD ^H3050;

[fn]The LORD ^H3050 answered ^H6030 me and put me in an open ^H4800 space ^H4800.

6 The LORD ^H3068 is for me; I will not fear ^H3372;

What ^H4100 can man ^H120 do ^H6213 to me?

7 The LORD ^H3068 is for me among those who help ^H5826 me;

Therefore I will look ^H7200 with satisfaction on those who hate ^H8130 me.

8 It is better ^H2896 to take ^H2620 refuge ^H2620 in the LORD ^H3068

Than ^H4480 to trust ^H982 in people ^H120.

9 It is better ^H2896 to take ^H2620 refuge ^H2620 in the LORD ^H3068

Than ^H4480 to trust ^H982 in noblemen ^H5081.

12 They surrounded ^H5437 me like bees ^H1682;

It is ^H6381 marvelous ^H6381 in our eyes ^H5869.

24 This ^H2088 is the day ^H3117 which the LORD ^H3068 has made ^H6213;

Let’s rejoice ^H1523 and be ^H8055 glad ^H8055 in it.

Please ^H577, O ^H577 LORD ^H3068, do send ^H6743 prosperity ^H6743!

We have blessed ^H1288 you from the house ^H1004 of the LORD ^H3068.

27 The LORD ^H3068 is God ^H410, and He has given ^H215 us light ^H215;

Bind ^H631 the festival ^H2282 sacrifice ^H2282 [fn]to the horns ^H7161 of the altar ^H4196 with cords ^H5688.

28 You are my God ^H410, and I give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to You;

You are my God ^H430, I exalt ^H7311 You.
