How ^H575 long ^H5704, LORD ^H3068, have I called ^H7768 for ^H7768 help ^H7768,

And You do not hear ^H8085?

I cry ^H2199 out ^H2199 to You, “Violence ^H2555!”

Yet You do not save ^H3467.

Why ^H4100 do You make ^H7200 me see ^H7200 disaster ^H205,

And make me look ^H5027 at destitution ^H5999?

Yes, devastation ^H7701 and violence ^H2555 are before ^H5048 me;

Strife ^H7379 exists ^H1961 and contention ^H4066 arises ^H5375.

Therefore ^H5921 H3651 the Law ^H8451 [fn]is ignored ^H6313,

And justice ^H4941 [fn]is never ^H3808 H5331 upheld ^H3318.

For the wicked ^H7563 surround ^H3803 the righteous ^H6662;

Therefore ^H5921 H3651 justice ^H4941 comes ^H3318 out ^H3318 confused ^H6127.

“Look ^H7200 among the nations ^H1471! Watch ^H5027!

Be ^H8539 horrified ^H8539! Be ^H8539 frightened ^H8539 speechless ^H8539!

For I am accomplishing ^H6466 a work ^H6467 in your days ^H3117—

You would not believe ^H539 it even if ^H3588 [fn]you were told ^H5608!

“For behold ^H2009, I am raising ^H6965 up ^H6965 the Chaldeans ^H3778,

That [fn]grim ^H4751 and impetuous ^H4116 people ^H1471

Who march ^H1980 [fn]throughout ^H4800 the earth ^H776,

To take ^H3423 possession ^H3423 of dwelling ^H4908 places ^H4908 that are not theirs.

“They are terrifying ^H366 and feared ^H3372;

Are You not from time ^H6924 everlasting ^H6924,

We will not die ^H4191.

You, LORD ^H3068, have appointed ^H7760 them to deliver judgment ^H4941;

And You, O Rock ^H6697, have destined ^H3245 them to punish ^H3198.

Your eyes ^H5869 are too ^H4480 pure ^H2889 to look ^H7200 at evil ^H7451,

Why ^H4100 do You look ^H5027 favorably

At those who deal ^H898 treacherously ^H898?

Why have You made ^H6213 people ^H120 like the fish ^H1709 of the sea ^H3220,

Like crawling ^H7431 things ^H7431 that have no ^H3808 ruler ^H4910 over them?

The Chaldeans bring ^H5927 all ^H3605 of them up ^H5927 with a hook ^H2443,

Drag ^H1641 them away ^H1641 with their net ^H2764,

And gather ^H622 them together ^H622 in their fishing ^H4365 net ^H4365.

Therefore ^H5921 H3651 they rejoice ^H8055 and are ^H1523 joyful ^H1523.

Therefore ^H5921 H3651 they offer ^H2076 a ^H2076 sacrifice ^H2076 to their net ^H2764

And [fn]burn ^H6999 incense ^H6999 to their fishing ^H4365 net ^H4365,

Because ^H3588 through these ^H1992 things ^H1992 their [fn]catch ^H2506 is [fn]large ^H8082,

And their food ^H3978 is [fn]plentiful ^H1277.

Will they therefore ^H5921 H3651 empty ^H7324 their net ^H2764,

And continually ^H8548 slay ^H2026 nations ^H1471 without ^H3808 sparing ^H2550?
