asking, “When will the New Moon be over

so we may sell grain,

and the Sabbath,

so we may market wheat?

We can reduce the measure

while increasing the price[fn]

and cheat with dishonest scales.

“Are there still[fn] the treasures of wickedness

and the accursed short measure

in the house of the wicked?

So I asked, “What is it? ”

He responded, “It’s a measuring basket[fn] that is approaching.” And he continued, “This is their iniquity[fn] in all the land.”
