Strong's Number H1880 matches the Hebrew דֶּשֶׁן (dešen),
which occurs 15 times in 14 verses
in the WLC Hebrew.
“He will remove its digestive tract,[fn] cutting off the tail feathers, and throw it on the east side of the altar at the place for ashes.
“all the rest of the bull — he must bring to a ceremonially clean place outside the camp to the ash heap, and must burn it on a wood fire. It is to be burned at the ash heap.
“The priest is to put on his linen robe and linen undergarments.[fn] He is to remove the ashes of the burnt offering the fire has consumed on the altar, and place them beside the altar.
“Then he will take off his garments, put on other clothes, and bring the ashes outside the camp to a ceremonially clean place.
But the olive tree said to them,
“Should I stop giving my oil
that people use to honor both God and men,
and rule[fn] over the trees? ”
He gave a sign that day. He said, “This is the sign that the LORD has spoken: ‘The altar will now be ripped apart, and the ashes that are on it will be poured out.’ ”
The altar was ripped apart, and the ashes poured from the altar, according to the sign that the man of God had given by the word of the LORD.
Indeed, he lured you from the jaws[fn] of distress
to a spacious and unconfined place.
Your table was spread with choice food.
They are filled from the abundance of your house.
You let them drink from your refreshing stream.
“Why do you spend silver on what is not food,
and your wages on what does not satisfy?
Listen carefully to me, and eat what is good,
and you will enjoy the choicest of foods.[fn]
I will refresh the priests with an abundance,[fn]
and my people will be satisfied with my goodness.
This is the LORD’s declaration.
