Lob. ad Phryn., p. 234), χειμαρορου, ὁ (χεῖμα winter, and ῤέω, Ροως), from Homer down, the Sept. very often for נַחַל, literally, flowing in winter, a torrent: John 18:1 (where A. V. brook).
