Because ^H3588 I am a youth ^H5288.”

‘Will He be ^H5201 angry ^H5201 forever ^H5769?

Will He keep ^H8104 it to the end ^H5331?’

Behold ^H2009, you have spoken ^H1696

And have done ^H6213 evil ^H7451 things ^H7451,

And you have [fn]had ^H3201 your way ^H3201.”

“For this ^H2088 the earth ^H776 shall mourn ^H56

And the heavens ^H8064 above ^H4480 H4605 be dark ^H6937

Because ^H5921 H3588 I have spoken ^H1696; I have purposed ^H2161,

And I will not [fn]relent ^H5162, nor ^H3808 will I turn ^H7725 from it.”

“Let me go ^H1980 to the great ^H1419

And let me speak ^H1696 to them,

For they know ^H3045 the way ^H1870 of Yahweh ^H3068

And the legal judgment ^H4941 of their God ^H430.”

But they too, altogether ^H3162, have broken ^H7665 the yoke ^H5923

And torn ^H5423 apart the bonds ^H4147.

Therefore ^H3651, thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068, the God ^H430 of hosts ^H6635,

“Because ^H3282 you have spoken ^H1696 this ^H2088 word ^H1697,

Behold ^H2009, I am making ^H5414 My words ^H1697 in your mouth ^H6310 fire ^H784

And this ^H2088 people ^H5971 wood ^H6086, and it will devour ^H398 them.

To whom ^H4310 shall I speak ^H1696 and give ^H5749 warning ^H5749

That they may hear ^H8085?

They weary ^H3811 themselves committing ^H5753 iniquity ^H5753.

“Their tongue ^H3956 is a slaughtering ^H7819 arrow ^H2671;

And they cannot ^H3808 speak ^H1696;

They must ^H5375 be carried ^H5375

Because ^H3588 they cannot ^H3808 take ^H6805 a step ^H6805!

Do not fear ^H3372 them,

Yahweh ^H3068 of hosts ^H6635, who planted ^H5193 you, has spoken ^H1696 forth evil ^H7451 against ^H5921 you because ^H1558 of the evil ^H7451 of the house ^H1004 of Israel ^H3478 and of the house ^H1004 of Judah ^H3063, which ^H834 they have [fn]done ^H6213 to provoke ^H3707 Me to anger ^H3707 by burning ^H6999 incense ^H6999 to Baal ^H1168.

“Now when ^H3588 you tell ^H5046 this ^H2088 people ^H5971 all ^H3605 these ^H428 words ^H1697, they will say ^H559 to you, ‘For ^H5921 what ^H4100 reason ^H5921 H4100 has Yahweh ^H3068 declared ^H1696 all ^H3605 this ^H2088 great ^H1419 calamity ^H7451 against ^H5921 us? And what ^H4100 is our iniquity ^H5771, or what ^H4100 is our sin ^H2403 which ^H834 we have committed ^H2398 against Yahweh ^H3068 our God ^H430?’

Should good ^H2896 be repaid ^H7999 with evil ^H7451?

For they have dug ^H3738 a pit ^H7745 for [fn]me.

“Do not listen ^H8085 to the words ^H1697 of the prophets ^H5030 who are prophesying ^H5012 to you.

They are leading ^H1891 you into ^H1891 vanity ^H1891;

They speak ^H1696 a vision ^H2377 of their own heart ^H3820,

Not from the mouth ^H6310 of Yahweh ^H3068.

“I did not send ^H7971 these prophets ^H5030,

But they ran ^H7323.

I did not speak ^H1696 to them,

But they prophesied ^H5012.
