“Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the splinter out of your eye,’ and look, there’s a beam of wood in your own eye?
“Hypocrite! First take the beam of wood out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take the splinter out of your brother’s eye.
“On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, didn’t we prophesy in your name, drive out demons in your name, and do many miracles in your name? ’
“But the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
When evening came, they brought to him many who were demon-possessed. He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick,
After the crowd had been put outside, he went in and took her by the hand, and the girl got up.
When the demon had been driven out, the man who had been mute spoke, and the crowds were amazed, saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel! ”
