But I thought, "I have worked in vain; I have expended my energy for absolutely nothing." But the LORD will vindicate me; my God will reward me.

וַאֲנִי אָמַרְתִּי לְרִיק יָגַעְתִּי לְתֹהוּ וְהֶבֶל כֹּחִי כִלֵּיתִי אָכֵן מִשְׁפָּטִי אֶת־יְהוָה וּפְעֻלָּתִי אֶת־אֱלֹהָי׃

καὶ ἐγὼ εἶπα κενῶς ἐκοπίασα καὶ εἰς μάταιον καὶ εἰς οὐδὲν ἔδωκα τὴν ἰσχύν μου διὰ τοῦτο κρίσις μου παρὰ κυρίῳ καὶ πόνος μου ἐναντίον τοῦ θεοῦ μου

أَمَّا أَنَا فَقُلْتُ: « عَبَثًا تَعِبْتُ. بَاطِلاً وَفَارِغًا أَفْنَيْتُ قُدْرَتِي. لكِنَّ حَقِّي عِنْدَ الرَّبِّ، وَعَمَلِي عِنْدَ إِلهِي».

Then I said, I have laboured in vain, I have given my strength for vanity and for nothing: therefore is my judgment with the Lord, and my labour before my God.
