through his cunning and by his influence,
and in his own mind he will exalt himself.
He will destroy many in a time of peace;
he will even stand against the Prince of princes.
Yet he will be broken — not by human hands.
“And through H5921 his shrewdness H7922
He will make H6743 deceit H4820 a H6743 success H6743 by his [fn]influence H3027;
And he will make H1431 himself great H1431 in his [fn]own mind H3824,
And he will [fn]destroy H7843 many H7227 while they are [fn]at ease H7962.
He will even [fn]oppose H5975 H5921 the Prince H8269 of princes H8269,

“And through his shrewdness
He will cause deceit to succeed by his hand (influence);
He will magnify himself in his mind,
He will corrupt and destroy many who enjoy a false sense of security.
He will also stand up and oppose the Prince of princes,
But he will be broken, and that by no human hand [but by the hand of God].
وَبِحَذَاقَتِهِ يَنْجَحُ أَيْضًا الْمَكْرُ فِي يَدِهِ، وَيَتَعَظَّمُ بِقَلْبِهِ. وَفِي الاطْمِئْنَانِ يُهْلِكُ كَثِيرِينَ، وَيَقُومُ عَلَى رَئِيسِ الرُّؤَسَاءِ، وَبِلاَ يَدٍ يَنْكَسِرُ.
