The Temptation of Jesus

(Mar 1:12, 13; Luk 4:1–13 )

Unchecked Copy BoxMat 4:4 - But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘MAN SHALL NOT LIVE ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD THAT PROCEEDS OUT OF THE MOUTH OF GOD.’”

and
‘ON their HANDS THEY WILL BEAR YOU UP,
SO THAT YOU WILL NOT STRIKE YOUR FOOT AGAINST A STONE.’”

Jesus Begins His Ministry

(Mar 1:14, 15; Luk 4:14, 15 )

The First Disciples

(Mar 1:16–20; Luk 5:1–11 )
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 4:18 - Now as Jesus was walking by the Sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon who was called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

Ministry in Galilee

(Mar 1:35–39; Luk 4:44; 6:17–19 )
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 4:23 - Jesus was going throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the [fn]gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness among the people.
Unchecked Copy BoxMat 4:24 - The news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, [fn]epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them.
