PSALM 74

An Appeal against the Devastation of the Land by the Enemy.

1 God ^H430, why ^H4100 have You rejected ^H2186 us forever ^H5331?

Why does Your anger ^H639 smoke ^H6225 against the sheep ^H6629 of Your [fn]pasture ^H4830?

2 Remember ^H2142 Your congregation ^H5712, which You purchased ^H7069 of old ^H6924,

Which You have redeemed ^H1350 to be the tribe ^H7626 of Your inheritance ^H5159;

And this ^H2088 Mount ^H2022 Zion ^H6726, where You have dwelt ^H7931.

3 [fn]Step ^H7311 H6471 toward the [fn]irreparable ^H5331 ruins ^H4876;

The enemy ^H340 has damaged ^H7489 everything ^H3605 in the sanctuary ^H6944.

4 Your adversaries ^H6887 have roared ^H7580 in the midst ^H7130 of Your meeting ^H4150 place ^H4150;

19 Do not give ^H5414 the soul ^H5315 of Your turtledove ^H8449 to the wild ^H2416 animal ^H2416;

Do not forget ^H7911 the life ^H2416 of Your afflicted ^H6041 forever ^H5331.

20 Consider ^H5027 the covenant ^H1285;

For the dark ^H4285 places ^H4285 of the land ^H776 are full ^H4390 of the places ^H4999 of violence ^H2555.

21 May the oppressed ^H1790 person ^H1790 not return ^H7725 dishonored ^H3637;
