But when a wicked ^H7563 person ^H7563 rules ^H4910, people ^H5971 groan ^H584.

A man ^H376 who loves ^H157 wisdom ^H2451 makes ^H8055 his father ^H1 glad ^H8055,

But he who involves ^H7462 himself ^H7462 with ^H7462 prostitutes ^H2181 wastes ^H6 his wealth ^H1952.

The king ^H4428 gives ^H5975 stability ^H5975 to the land ^H776 by justice ^H4941,

But a person ^H376 who ^H8641 takes ^H8641 bribes ^H8641 ruins ^H2040 it.

A man ^H1397 who flatters ^H2505 his neighbor ^H7453

Is spreading ^H6566 a net ^H7568 for his steps ^H6471.

By wrongdoing ^H6588 an evil ^H7451 person ^H376 is ensnared ^H4170,

But the righteous ^H6662 sings ^H7442 and rejoices ^H8055.

The righteous ^H6662 [fn]is concerned ^H3045 for the rights ^H1779 of the poor ^H1800;

But happy ^H835 is one who keeps ^H8104 the Law ^H8451.

A slave ^H5650 will not be instructed ^H3256 by words ^H1697 alone;

An unjust ^H5766 person ^H376 is an abomination ^H8441 to the righteous ^H6662,

And one who is upright ^H3477 in the way ^H1870 is an abomination ^H8441 to the wicked ^H7563.
