But the righteous ^H6662 are ^H982 [fn]bold ^H982 as a lion ^H3715.

Due to a [fn]wrongdoing ^H6588 of [fn]a land ^H776 its leaders ^H8269 are many ^H7227,

But by a person ^H120 of understanding ^H995 and knowledge ^H3045, so ^H3651 it endures ^H748.

A poor ^H7326 man ^H1397 who oppresses ^H6231 the helpless ^H1800

Is like a driving ^H5502 rain ^H4306 [fn]which leaves ^H369 no ^H369 food ^H3899.

Those who abandon ^H5800 the Law ^H8451 praise ^H1984 the wicked ^H7563,

But those who keep ^H8104 the Law ^H8451 strive ^H1624 against them.

Evil ^H7451 people ^H376 do not understand ^H995 justice ^H4941,

But those who seek ^H1245 the LORD ^H3068 understand ^H995 everything ^H3605.

Better ^H2896 is a poor ^H7326 person ^H7326 who walks ^H1980 in his integrity ^H8537,

Than ^H4480 a person who is [fn]crooked ^H6141 H1870, though he is rich ^H6223.

He who keeps ^H5341 the Law ^H8451 is a discerning ^H995 son ^H1121,

But he who is a companion ^H7462 of gluttons ^H2151 humiliates ^H3637 his father ^H1.

One who increases ^H7235 his wealth ^H1952 by [fn]interest ^H5392 H8636 of any kind,

Collects ^H6908 it for one who is gracious ^H2603 to the poor ^H1800.

One who turns ^H5493 his ear ^H241 away ^H5493 from listening ^H8085 to the Law ^H8451,

When the wicked ^H7563 rise ^H6965, people ^H120 hide ^H5641 themselves;

But when they perish ^H6, the righteous ^H6662 increase ^H7235.
