Northern Canaan Taken

1 Then it came ^H1961 about ^H1961, when Jabin ^H2985 king ^H4428 of Hazor ^H2674 heard ^H8085 about it, that he sent ^H7971 word to Jobab ^H3103 king ^H4428 of Madon ^H4068, to the king ^H4428 of Shimron ^H8110, to the king ^H4428 of Achshaph ^H407,

2 and to the kings ^H4428 who ^H834 were of the north ^H6828 in the hill ^H2022 country ^H2022, and in the Arabah ^H6160—south ^H5045 of [fn]Chinneroth ^H3672 and in the lowland ^H8219, and on the [fn]heights ^H5299 of Dor ^H1756 on the west ^H3220— 3 to the Canaanite ^H3669 on the east ^H4217 and on the west ^H3220, and the Amorite ^H567, the Hittite ^H2850, the Perizzite ^H6522, and the Jebusite ^H2983 in the hill ^H2022 country ^H2022, and the Hivite ^H2340 [fn]at ^H8478 the ^H8478 foot ^H8478 of ^H8478 Hermon ^H2768 in the land ^H776 of Mizpeh ^H4709. 4 Then they came ^H3318 out ^H3318, they and all ^H3605 their armies ^H4264 with them, as many ^H7227 people ^H5971 as the sand ^H2344 that is on the seashore ^H3220 H8193, with very ^H3966 many ^H7227 horses ^H5483 and chariots ^H7393. 5 So all ^H3605 of these ^H428 kings ^H4428 gathered ^H3259 together ^H3259, and came ^H935 and encamped ^H2583 together ^H3162 at the waters ^H4325 of Merom ^H4792, to fight ^H3898 against ^H5973 Israel ^H3478.

10 Then Joshua ^H3091 turned ^H7725 back ^H7725 at that time ^H6256 and captured ^H3920 Hazor ^H2674, and struck ^H5221 its king ^H4428 with the sword ^H2719; for Hazor ^H2674 previously ^H6440 was the head ^H7218 of all ^H3605 these ^H428 kingdoms ^H4467. 11 They struck ^H5221 every ^H3605 person ^H5315 who ^H834 was in it with the edge ^H6310 of the sword ^H2719, [fn]utterly ^H2763 destroying ^H2763 them; there was no ^H3808 H3605 one left ^H3498 who ^H5397 breathed ^H5397. Joshua ^H3091 utterly ^H2763 destroyed ^H2763 them with their cities ^H5892. 22 There were no ^H3808 Anakim ^H6062 left ^H3498 in the land ^H776 of the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478; only ^H7534 in Gaza ^H5804, Gath ^H1661, and Ashdod ^H795 some remained ^H7604. 23 So Joshua ^H3091 took ^H3947 the whole ^H3605 land ^H776, in accordance with everything ^H3605 that the LORD ^H3068 had spoken ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872; and Joshua ^H3091 gave ^H5414 it as an inheritance ^H5159 to Israel ^H3478 according to their divisions ^H4256 by their tribes ^H7626. So the land ^H776 was ^H8252 at ^H8252 rest ^H8252 from war ^H4421.
