“Listen ^H8085 to Me, you who pursue ^H7291 righteousness ^H6664,

Who seek ^H1245 the LORD ^H3068:

Look ^H5027 to the rock ^H6697 from which you were cut ^H2672,

And to the [fn]quarry ^H953 H4718 from which you were dug ^H5365.

“Look ^H5027 to Abraham ^H85 your father ^H1

And to Sarah ^H8283 who gave ^H2342 birth ^H2342 to you in ^H2342 pain ^H2342;

When ^H3588 he was only one ^H259 I called ^H7121 him,

Then I blessed ^H1288 him and multiplied ^H7235 him.”

Indeed ^H3588, the LORD ^H3068 will comfort ^H5162 Zion ^H6726;

He will comfort ^H5162 all ^H3605 her ruins ^H2723.

And He will make ^H7760 her wilderness ^H4057 like Eden ^H5731,

And her desert ^H6160 like the garden ^H1588 of the LORD ^H3068.

Joy ^H8342 and gladness ^H8057 will be found ^H4672 in her,

Thanksgiving ^H8426 and the sound ^H6963 of a melody ^H2172.

“Pay ^H7181 attention ^H7181 to Me, My people ^H5971,

And listen ^H238 to Me, My [fn]nation ^H3816;

For a law ^H8451 will go ^H3318 out ^H3318 from Me,

And I will bring ^H7280 My justice ^H4941 as a light ^H216 of the peoples ^H5971.

“My righteousness ^H6664 is near ^H7138, My salvation ^H3468 has gone ^H3318 forth ^H3318,

And My arms ^H2220 will judge ^H8199 the peoples ^H5971;

The coastlands ^H339 will wait ^H6960 for Me,

And they will wait ^H3176 expectantly ^H3176 for My arm ^H2220.

“Raise ^H5375 your eyes ^H5869 to the sky ^H8064,

For the sky ^H8064 will vanish ^H4414 like smoke ^H6227,

Do not fear ^H3372 the taunting ^H2781 of [fn]people ^H582,

Nor ^H408 be terrified ^H2865 of their abuses ^H1421.

“For the moth ^H6211 will eat ^H398 them like a garment ^H899;

Yes, the moth ^H5580 will eat ^H398 them like wool ^H6785.

But My righteousness ^H6666 will be forever ^H5769,

And My salvation ^H3444 to all ^H1755 generations ^H1755.”

How ^H4310 shall I comfort ^H5162 you?
