Restoration Promised

1 “So it will be when ^H3588 all ^H3605 of these ^H428 things ^H1697 have come ^H935 upon you, the blessing ^H1293 and the curse ^H7045 which ^H834 I have placed ^H5414 before ^H6440 you, and you [fn]call ^H7725 them to mind ^H3824 in all ^H3605 the nations ^H1471 where ^H834 H8033 the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430 has scattered ^H5080 you,

2 and you return ^H7725 to the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430 and [fn]obey ^H8085 H6963 Him with all ^H3605 your heart ^H3824 and soul ^H5315 in accordance with everything ^H3605 that I am commanding ^H6680 you today ^H3117, you and your sons ^H1121, 3 then the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430 will restore ^H7725 [fn]you from captivity ^H7622, and have ^H7355 compassion ^H7355 on ^H7355 you, and will gather ^H6908 you again ^H7725 from all ^H3605 the peoples ^H5971 where ^H834 H8033 the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430 has scattered ^H6327 you. 4 If ^H518 any of your scattered ^H5080 countrymen are at the [fn]ends ^H7097 of the earth ^H8064, from there ^H8033 the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430 will gather ^H6908 you, and from there ^H8033 He will [fn]bring ^H3947 you back. 5 The LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430 will bring ^H935 you into the land ^H776 which ^H834 your fathers ^H1 possessed ^H3423, and you shall possess ^H3423 it; and He will be ^H3190 good ^H3190 to you and make ^H7235 you more ^H4480 numerous ^H7235 than ^H4480 your fathers ^H1.

6 “Moreover, the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430 will circumcise ^H4135 your heart ^H3824 and the hearts ^H3824 of your [fn]descendants ^H2233, to love ^H157 the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430 with all ^H3605 your heart ^H3824 and all ^H3605 your soul ^H5315, so ^H4616 that ^H4616 you may live ^H2416. 7 And the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430 will [fn]inflict ^H5414 all ^H3605 these ^H428 curses ^H423 on your enemies ^H340 and on those who hate ^H8130 you, who ^H834 persecuted ^H7291 you. 8 And you will again ^H7725 [fn]obey ^H8085 H6963 the LORD ^H3068, and [fn]follow ^H6213 all ^H3605 His commandments ^H4687 which ^H834 I am commanding ^H6680 you today ^H3117. 9 Then the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430 will prosper ^H3498 you [fn]abundantly ^H2896 in every ^H3605 work ^H4639 of your hand ^H3027, in the [fn]children ^H6529 of your womb ^H990, the [fn]offspring ^H6529 of your cattle ^H929, and in the [fn]produce ^H6529 of your ground ^H127, for the LORD ^H3068 will again ^H7725 rejoice ^H7797 over ^H5921 you for good ^H2896, just ^H834 as ^H834 He rejoiced ^H7797 over ^H5921 your fathers ^H1; 10 [fn]if ^H3588 you [fn]obey ^H8085 H6963 the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430, to keep ^H8104 His commandments ^H4687 and His statutes ^H2708 which are written ^H3789 in this ^H2088 Book ^H5612 of the Law ^H8451, [fn]if ^H3588 you turn ^H7725 to the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430 with all ^H3605 your heart ^H3824 and soul ^H5315.

11 “For this ^H2088 commandment ^H4687 which ^H834 I am commanding ^H6680 you today ^H3117 is ^H6381 not too ^H4480 difficult ^H6381 for you, nor ^H3808 is it far ^H7350 away ^H7350. 12 It is not in heaven ^H8064, [fn]that you could say ^H559, ‘Who ^H4310 will go ^H5927 up ^H5927 to heaven ^H8064 for us and get ^H3947 it for us, and proclaim ^H8085 it to us, so that we may [fn]follow ^H6213 it?’ 13 Nor ^H3808 is it beyond ^H4480 H5676 the sea ^H3220, [fn]that you could say ^H559, ‘Who ^H4310 will cross ^{H5674 H413 H5676} the sea ^H3220 for us and get ^H3947 it for us and proclaim ^H8085 it to us, so that we may [fn]follow ^H6213 it?’ 14 On ^H3588 the ^H3588 contrary ^H3588, the word ^H1697 is very ^H3966 near ^H7138 you, in your mouth ^H6310 and in your heart ^H3824, that you may [fn]follow ^H6213 it.

Choose Life

15 “See ^H7200, I have placed ^H5414 before ^H6440 you today ^H3117 life ^H2416 and [fn]happiness ^H2896, and death ^H4194 and [fn]adversity ^H7451,

16 in that I am commanding ^H6680 you today ^H3117 to love ^H157 the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430, to walk ^H1980 in His ways ^H1870 and to keep ^H8104 His commandments ^H4687, His statutes ^H2708, and His judgments ^H4941, so that you may live ^H2421 and become ^H7235 numerous ^H7235, and that the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430 may bless ^H1288 you in the land ^H776 where ^H834 H8033 you are entering ^H935 to take ^H3423 possession ^H3423 of it. 17 But if ^H518 your heart ^H3824 turns ^H6437 away ^H6437 and you will not obey ^H8085, but allow yourself to be led ^H5080 astray ^H5080 and you worship ^H2331 other ^H312 gods ^H430 and serve ^H5647 them, 18 I declare ^H5046 to you today ^H3117 that you will certainly ^H6 perish ^H6. You will not prolong ^H748 your days ^H3117 in the land ^H127 where ^H834 H8033 you are crossing ^H5674 the Jordan ^H3383 to enter ^H935 [fn]and take ^H3423 possession ^H3423 of it. 19 I call ^H5749 heaven ^H8064 and earth ^H776 to ^H5749 witness ^H5749 against you today ^H3117, that I have placed ^H5414 before ^H6440 you life ^H2416 and death ^H4194, the blessing ^H1293 and the curse ^H7045. So choose ^H977 life ^H2416 in ^H4616 order ^H4616 that ^H4616 you may live ^H2421, you and your [fn]descendants ^H2233, 20 by loving ^H157 the LORD ^H3068 your God ^H430, by obeying ^H8085 His voice ^H6963, and by holding ^H1692 close ^H1692 to Him; for [fn]this ^H1931 is your life ^H2416 and the length ^H753 of your days ^H3117, [fn]so that you may live ^H3427 in the land ^H127 which ^H834 the LORD ^H3068 swore ^H7650 to your fathers ^H1, to Abraham ^H85, Isaac ^H3327, and Jacob ^H3290, to give ^H5414 them.”
