In My Distress I Sought the Lord

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:1 -

For the choir director. According to [fn]Jeduthun. Of Asaph. A Psalm.

My voice rises to God, and I must cry aloud;

My voice rises to God, and He will hear me.

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:2 -

In the day of my distress I sought the Lord;

In the night my hand was stretched out [fn]without weariness;

My soul refused to be comforted.

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:3 -

I remember God and I am disturbed;

I muse and my spirit faints. [fn]Selah.

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:4 -

You have held my eyelids open;

I am so troubled that I cannot speak.

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:5 -

I give thought to the days of old,

The years of long ago.

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:6 -

I remember my music in the night;

I am musing with my heart,

And my spirit is searching:

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:7 -

Will the Lord reject evermore?

And will He not be favorable again?

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:8 -

Has His lovingkindness ceased forever?

Has His [fn]word ended [fn]from generation to generation?

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:9 -

Has God forgotten to be gracious,

Or has He in anger shut up His compassion? Selah.

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:10 -

Then I said, “It is my [fn]grief,

That the right hand of the Most High has changed.”

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:11 -

I shall remember the deeds of Yah;

Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:12 -

I will meditate on all Your work

And muse on Your deeds.

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:13 -

O God, Your way is holy;

What god is great like God?

Unchecked Copy BoxPsa 77:14 -

You are the God who works wonders;

You have made known Your strength among the peoples.
