Page 1 / 4 (Gen 24:53–Lev 14:55)
“The scent of my son [Esau]
Is like the aroma of a field which the LORD has blessed;
Now Reuben [unaware of what had happened] returned to the pit, and [to his great alarm found that] Joseph was not in the pit; so he tore his clothes [in deep sorrow].
“The holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him, to be anointed and ordained in them.
Moreover, from the blue and purple and scarlet fabric, they made finely woven garments for serving and ministering in the Holy Place; they made the holy garments for Aaron, just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
So Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood which was on the altar and sprinkled it on Aaron and his garments, and also on his sons and their garments with him; so Moses consecrated Aaron and his garments, and his sons and his sons’ garments with him.
“As for the leper who has the infection, his clothes shall be torn, and the hair of his head shall be uncovered (disheveled), and he shall cover his mustache and call out, ‘Unclean! Unclean!’
“When a garment has a mark of leprosy in it, whether it is a wool garment or a linen garment,
“But if the priest sees that the mark has not spread in the garment, either in the warp or the woof, or on anything made of leather,
“If the priest looks and the mark has faded after it is washed, he shall tear it out of the garment, or the leather, or out of the warp or woof.
This is the law for a leprous disease in a garment of wool or linen, either in the warp or woof, or on anything made of leather, to pronounce it clean or unclean.
