Simeon or Shimeon = "heard"
the 2nd son of Jacob by his wife Leah and progenitor of the tribe of Simeon
an Israelite of the sons of Bani who had a foreign wife in the time of Ezra
said to mean offspring of hyena and wolf; see HoggEBiv. 4531); —
Strong's Number H8095 matches the Hebrew שִׁמְעוֹן (šimʿôn),
which occurs 10 times in 9 verses in 'Num'
in the WLC Hebrew.
The descendants of Simeon: according to their family records by their clans and their ancestral families, those registered counting one by one the names of every male twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in the army,
