“May I never enter their council;
may I never join their assembly.
For in their anger they kill men,
and on a whim they hamstring oxen.
“It will be on Aaron’s forehead so that Aaron may bear the guilt connected with the holy offerings that the Israelites consecrate as all their holy gifts. It is always to be on his forehead, so that they may find acceptance with the LORD.
“If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he is to bring an unblemished male. He will bring it to the entrance to the tent of meeting so that he[fn] may be accepted by the LORD.
“When you offer a fellowship sacrifice to the LORD, sacrifice it so that you may be accepted.

“You are not to present anything that has a defect, because it will not be accepted on your behalf.

He said about Naphtali:
Naphtali, enjoying approval,
full of the LORD’s blessing,

All Judah rejoiced over the oath, for they had sworn it wholeheartedly. They had sought him with all sincerity, and he was found by them. So the LORD gave them rest on every side.

So their descendants went in and possessed the land:

Its abundant harvest goes to the kings
you have set over us,

May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable to you,
LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.
For his anger lasts only a moment,
but his favor, a lifetime.
Weeping may stay overnight,
but there is joy in the morning.
LORD, when you showed your favor,
you made me stand like a strong mountain;
when you hid your face, I was terrified.
But as for me, LORD,
my prayer to you is for a time of favor.
In your abundant, faithful love, God,
answer me with your sure salvation.
Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
May your gracious Spirit
lead me on level ground.
He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry for help and saves them.
The lips of the righteous know what is appropriate,
but the mouth of the wicked, only what is perverse.
Those with twisted minds are detestable to the LORD,
but those with blameless conduct are his delight.
The one who searches for what is good seeks favor,
but if someone looks for trouble, it will come to him.
The sacrifice of the wicked is detestable to the LORD,
but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
When a king’s face lights up, there is life;
his favor is like a cloud with spring rain.
This is what the LORD says:
I will answer you in a time of favor,
and I will help you in the day of salvation.
I will keep you, and I will appoint you
to be a covenant for the people,
to restore the land,
to make them possess the desolate inheritances,
“I will bring them to my holy mountain
and let them rejoice in my house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and sacrifices
will be acceptable on my altar,
for my house will be called a house of prayer
for all nations.”
“Will the fast I choose be like this:
A day for a person to deny himself,
to bow his head like a reed,
and to spread out sackcloth and ashes?
Will you call this a fast
and a day acceptable to the LORD?
All the flocks of Kedar will be gathered to you;
the rams of Nebaioth will serve you
and go up on my altar as an acceptable sacrifice.
I will glorify my beautiful house.
Foreigners will rebuild your walls,
and their kings will serve you.
Although I struck you in my wrath,
yet I will show mercy to you with my favor.
