Strong's Number H6780 matches the Hebrew צֶמַח (ṣemaḥ),
which occurs 12 times in 12 verses
in the WLC Hebrew.
He demolished these cities, the entire plain, all the inhabitants of the cities, and whatever grew on the ground.
You soften it with showers and bless its growth,
soaking its furrows and leveling its ridges.
On that day the Branch[fn] of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of Israel’s survivors.
For as the earth produces its growth,
and as a garden enables what is sown to spring up,
so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise
to spring up before all the nations.
“Look, the days are coming” — this is the LORD’s declaration —
“when I will raise up a Righteous Branch for David.
He will reign wisely as king
and administer justice and righteousness in the land.
“In those days and at that time
I will cause a Righteous Branch
to sprout up for David,
and he will administer justice
and righteousness in the land.
“You are to say, ‘This is what the Lord GOD says: Will it flourish? Will he not tear out its roots and strip off its fruit so that it shrivels? All its fresh leaves will wither! Great strength and many people will not be needed to pull it from its roots.
“Even though it is planted, will it flourish? Won’t it wither completely when the east wind strikes it? It will wither on the plot where it sprouted.’ ”
Indeed, they sow the wind
and reap the whirlwind.
There is no standing grain;
what sprouts fails to yield flour.
Even if they did,
foreigners would swallow it up.
“Listen, High Priest Joshua, you and your colleagues sitting before you; indeed, these men are a sign that I am about to bring my servant, the Branch.
