and said, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has not withheld his kindness and faithfulness from my master. As for me, the LORD has led me on the journey to the house of my master’s relatives.”
“Then I knelt low, worshiped the LORD, and blessed the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who guided me on the right way to take the granddaughter of my master’s brother for his son.
“Now, if you are going to show kindness and faithfulness to my master, tell me; if not, tell me, and I will go elsewhere.”[fn]
“I am unworthy of all the kindness and faithfulness you have shown your servant. Indeed, I crossed over the Jordan with my staff, and now I have become two camps.
“Send one from among you to get your brother. The rest of you will be imprisoned so that your words can be tested to see if they are true. If they are not, then as surely as Pharaoh lives, you are spies! ”
When the time approached for him to die, he called his son Joseph and said to him, “If I have found favor with you, put your hand under my thigh and promise me that you will deal with me in kindness and faithfulness. Do not bury me in Egypt.

Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of the LORD that you have spoken is good,” for he thought, “Why not, if there will be peace and security during my lifetime? ”

“For many years Israel has been without the true God, without a teaching priest, and without instruction,
But the king said to him, “How many times must I make you swear not to tell me anything but the truth in the name of the LORD? ”
Hezekiah did this throughout all Judah. He did what was good and upright and true before the LORD his God.
After Hezekiah’s faithful deeds, King Sennacherib of Assyria came and entered Judah. He laid siege to the fortified cities and intended[fn] to break into them.
Then I put my brother Hanani in charge of Jerusalem, along with Hananiah, commander of the fortress, because he was a faithful man who feared God more than most.
You came down on Mount Sinai,
and spoke to them from heaven.
You gave them impartial ordinances, reliable instructions,
and good statutes and commands.
You are righteous concerning all that has happened to us,
because you have acted faithfully,
while we have acted wickedly.
He sent letters with assurances of peace and security[fn] to all the Jews who were in the 127 provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus,
The one who lives blamelessly, practices righteousness,
and acknowledges the truth in his heart —
The fear of the LORD is pure,
enduring forever;
the ordinances of the LORD are reliable
and altogether righteous.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
I wait for you all day long.
All the LORD’s ways show faithful love and truth
to those who keep his covenant and decrees.
“What gain is there in my death,
if I go down to the Pit?
Will the dust praise you?
Will it proclaim your truth?
I did not hide your righteousness in my heart;
I spoke about your faithfulness and salvation;
I did not conceal your constant love and truth
from the great assembly.
LORD, you do not[fn] withhold your compassion from me.
Your constant love and truth will always guard me.
Send your light and your truth; let them lead me.
Let them bring me to your holy mountain,
to your dwelling place.
in your splendor ride triumphantly
in the cause of truth, humility, and justice.
May your right hand show your awe-inspiring acts.
