Meribah = "strife" or "contention"
a fountain at Rephidim, in the desert of Sin; so called because the Israelites murmured against God
the name of the water supply at Kadesh on the southern border of the promised land; the people also murmured here against God

Strong's Number H4809 matches the Hebrew מְרִיבָה (mᵊrîḇâ),
which occurs 6 times in 6 verses
in the WLC Hebrew.
These are the Waters of Meribah,[fn] where the Israelites quarreled with the LORD, and he demonstrated his holiness to them.
“Aaron will be gathered to his people; he will not enter the land I have given the Israelites, because you both rebelled against my command at the Waters of Meribah.
“When the community quarreled in the Wilderness of Zin, both of you rebelled against my command to demonstrate my holiness in their sight at the waters.” Those were the Waters of Meribah-kadesh[fn] in the Wilderness of Zin.
He said about Levi:
Your Thummim and Urim belong to your faithful one;[fn]
you tested him at Massah
and contended with him at the Waters of Meribah.
