(man is 'Who?' in Arabic, Aramaic מַן bdb057704), Mandaean (מאן), Ethiopic (manu), 'What?' in these dialects being bdb057705 מָה bdb057706 מָא (Ethiopic ment); מָן in the sense of 'What?' must correspond to the later Syriac bdb057707 contracted from bdb057708 Targum מָדֵין§ 68 WSG 125).
