Mahanaim = "two camps"
a place east of the Jordan, named from Jacob's encounter with angels
a Levitical city in Gad
Strong's Number H4266 matches the Hebrew מַֽחֲנַיִם (maḥănayim),
which occurs 13 times in 13 verses
in the WLC Hebrew.
When he saw them, Jacob said, “This is God’s camp.” So he called that place Mahanaim.[fn]
from Heshbon to Ramath-mizpeh and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the border of Debir;[fn]
this as their territory:
From Mahanaim through all Bashan — all the kingdom of King Og of Bashan, including all of Jair’s Villages[fn] that are in Bashan — sixty cities.
From the tribe of Gad they gave:

“Keep an eye on Shimei son of Gera, the Benjaminite from Bahurim who is with you. He uttered malicious curses against me the day I went to Mahanaim. But he came down to meet me at the Jordan River, and I swore to him by the LORD, ‘I will never kill you with the sword.’
