Note by BLB: Strong's entry lists the pronunciation of this word with the "b" sound. This is incorrect. The ב (bet) does not have a daghesh lene so it is pronounced with a "v" sound. This is why the transliteration has a bar under the "b" (ḇ).
Strong's Number H3820 matches the Hebrew לֵב (lēḇ),
which occurs 16 times in 16 verses in '2Ch'
in the WLC Hebrew.
He said:
LORD God of Israel,
there is no God like you
in heaven or on earth,
who keeps his gracious covenant
with your servants who walk before you
with all their heart.
and when they return to you with all their mind and all their heart
in the land of their captivity where they were taken captive,
and when they pray in the direction of their land
that you gave their ancestors,
and the city you have chosen,
and toward the temple I have built for your name,
On the twenty-third day of the seventh month he sent the people home,[fn] rejoicing and with happy hearts for the goodness the LORD had done for David, for Solomon, and for his people Israel.
So Solomon finished the LORD’s temple and the royal palace. Everything that had entered Solomon’s heart to do for the LORD’s temple and for his own palace succeeded.
And I have now chosen and consecrated this temple so that my name may be there forever; my eyes and my heart will be there at all times.
All the kings of the world wanted an audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart.
Rehoboam did what was evil, because he did not determine in his heart to seek the LORD.
He took great pride in the LORD’s ways, and he again removed the high places and Asherah poles from Judah.
But when he became strong, he grew arrogant, and it led to his own destruction. He acted unfaithfully against the LORD his God by going into the LORD’s sanctuary to burn incense on the incense altar.
Hezekiah concluded, “Now you are consecrated[fn] to the LORD. Come near and bring sacrifices and thanksgiving offerings to the LORD’s temple.” So the congregation brought sacrifices and thanksgiving offerings, and all those with willing hearts brought burnt offerings.
Also, the power of God was at work in Judah to unite them[fn] to carry out the command of the king and his officials by the word of the LORD.
Then Hezekiah encouraged[fn] all the Levites who performed skillfully before the LORD. They ate at the appointed festival for seven days, sacrificing fellowship offerings and giving thanks to the LORD, the God of their ancestors.
However, because his heart was proud, Hezekiah didn’t respond according to the benefit that had come to him. So there was wrath on him, Judah, and Jerusalem.
