and the new wine will fail them.

The threshing floors will be full of grain,

and the vats will overflow

with new wine and fresh oil.

Swing the sickle

because the harvest is ripe.

Come and trample the grapes

because the winepress is full;

the wine vats overflow

because the wickedness of the nations is extreme.

“what state were you in?[fn] When someone came to a grain heap of twenty measures, it only amounted to ten; when one came to the winepress to dip fifty measures from the vat, it only amounted to twenty.

All the land from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem will be changed into a plain. But Jerusalem will be raised up and will remain[fn] on its site from the Benjamin Gate to the place of the First Gate,[fn] to the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the royal winepresses.
