Of the Levites, Ahijah was in charge of the treasuries of the house of God and the treasuries of the dedicated gifts.
The sons of Jehieli, Zetham and his brother Joel, were in charge of the treasuries of the house of the LORD.
Azmaveth the son of Adiel was in charge of the king’s storerooms; and Jonathan the son of Uzziah was in charge of the storehouses in the country, in the cities, in the villages, and in the towers.
Thus all the work that Solomon did for the house of the LORD was finished. He brought in the things that his father David had dedicated, and he put the silver and the gold and all the utensils in the treasuries of the house of God.

Or have you seen the storehouses of the hail,
He gathers the waters of the sea together as in a wineskin;
He puts the deeps in storehouses.
Who causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth;
Who makes lightning for the rain,
Who brings the wind from His storehouses;
That I may cause those who love me to inherit wealth and true riches,
And that I may fill their treasuries.
Treasures of wickedness and ill-gotten gains do not profit,
But righteousness and moral integrity in daily life rescues from death.

Is a fleeting vapor, the seeking and pursuit of death.

But a short-sighted and foolish man swallows it up and wastes it.
Their land has also been filled with silver and gold
And there is no end to their treasures;
Their land has also been filled with horses
And there is no end to their chariots.
A [mournful, inspired] oracle ([fn]a burden to be carried) concerning the beasts of the Negev (the South):
Through a land of trouble and anguish,
From [fn]where come lioness and lion, viper and [fiery] flying serpent,
They carry their riches on the shoulders of young donkeys
And their treasures on the humps of camels,
To a people (Egyptians) who cannot benefit them.
