“But he will say, ‘I tell you, I don’t know you or where you’re from. Get away from me, all you evildoers! ’

“The master praised the unrighteous manager because he had acted shrewdly. For the children of this age are more shrewd than the children of light in dealing with their own people.[fn]

Then the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says.

“The one who speaks on his own seeks his own glory; but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is true, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

Now this man acquired a field with his unrighteous wages. He fell headfirst, his body burst open and his intestines spilled out.

“For I see you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by wickedness.”

For God’s wrath is revealed from heaven against all godlessness and unrighteousness of people who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth,

They are filled with all unrighteousness,[fn] evil, greed, and wickedness. They are full of envy, murder, quarrels, deceit, and malice. They are gossips,

but wrath and anger to those who are self-seeking and disobey the truth while obeying unrighteousness.

But if our unrighteousness highlights[fn] God’s righteousness, what are we to say? I am using a human argument:[fn] Is God unrighteous to inflict wrath?

And do not offer any parts[fn] of it to sin as weapons for unrighteousness. But as those who are alive from the dead, offer yourselves to God, and all the parts of yourselves to God as weapons for righteousness.

What should we say then? Is there injustice with God? Absolutely not!

Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth.

So in what way are you worse off than the other churches, except that I personally did not burden you? Forgive me for this wrong!

and with every wicked deception among those who are perishing. They perish because they did not accept the love of the truth and so be saved.

so that all will be condemned ​— ​those who did not believe the truth but delighted in unrighteousness.

Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, bearing this inscription: The Lord knows those who are his, and let everyone who calls on the name of[fn] the Lord turn away from wickedness.

For I will forgive their wrongdoing,

and I will never again remember their sins.[fn]

And the tongue is a fire. The tongue, a world of unrighteousness, is placed[fn] among our members. It stains the whole body, sets the course of life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.

They will be paid back with harm for the harm they have done. They consider it a pleasure to carouse in broad daylight. They are spots and blemishes, delighting in their deceptions[fn] while they feast with you.

They have gone astray by abandoning the straight path and have followed the path of Balaam, the son of Bosor,[fn] who loved the wages of wickedness

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin that doesn’t lead to death.
