Strong's Number G694 matches the Greek ἀργύριον (argyrion),
which occurs 8 times in 7 verses in 'Jer'
in the LXX Greek.
He decorates it with silver and gold.
It is fastened with hammer and nails,
so it won’t totter.
Beaten silver is brought from Tarshish
and gold from Uphaz.[fn]
The work of a craftsman
and of a goldsmith’s hands
is clothed in blue and purple,
all the work of skilled artisans.
“So I bought the field in Anathoth from my cousin Hanamel, and I weighed out the silver to him — seventeen shekels[fn] of silver.
“I recorded it on a scroll, sealed it, called in witnesses, and weighed out the silver on the scales.
“Yet you, Lord GOD, have said to me, ‘Purchase the field and call in witnesses’ — even though the city has been handed over to the Chaldeans! ”
“Fields will be purchased, the transaction written on a scroll and sealed, and witnesses will be called on in the land of Benjamin, in the areas surrounding Jerusalem, and in Judah’s cities — the cities of the hill country, the cities of the Judean foothills, and the cities of the Negev — because I will restore their fortunes.”[fn]
This is the LORD’s declaration.
