But John tried to stop him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and yet you come to me? ”

“If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this? ’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here right away.’ ”

Jesus replied to them, “It is not those who are healthy who need a doctor, but those who are sick.

When the crowds found out, they followed him. He welcomed them, spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.

“but one thing is necessary.[fn] Mary has made the right choice,[fn] and it will not be taken away from her.”

“I tell you, in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who don’t need repentance.
