When daybreak came, Jesus left [Simon Peter’s house] and went to a secluded place; and the crowds were searching for Him, and [they] came to Him and tried to keep Him from leaving them.

Now the day was ending, and the twelve [disciples] came and said to Him, “Send the crowd away, so that they may go into the surrounding villages and countryside and find lodging, and get provisions; because here we are in an isolated place.”
Now after this the Lord appointed [fn]seventy others, and sent them out ahead of Him, two by two, into every city and place where He was about to go.
It happened that while Jesus was praying in a certain place, after He finished, one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray just as John also taught his disciples.”
“When the unclean spirit comes out of a person, it roams through waterless places in search [of a place] of rest; and not finding any, it says, ‘I will go back to my house (person) from which I came.’
When they came to the place called [fn]The Skull, there they crucified Him and the criminals, one on the right and one on the left.
He went back again across the Jordan to the place where John was first baptizing, and He was staying there.
Now Jesus had not yet entered the village, but was still at the place where Martha had met Him.
