But when he saw the strength of the wind,[fn] he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, “Lord, save me! ”
“For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of me will find it.
When the disciples heard this, they were utterly astonished and asked, “Then who can be saved? ”
“Unless those days were cut short, no one would[fn] be saved. But those days will be cut short because of the elect.
