Strong's Number G2976 matches the Greek Λάζαρος (lazaros),
which occurs 15 times in 15 verses
in the MGNT Greek.
“And being in torment in Hades, he looked up and saw Abraham a long way off, with Lazarus at his side.
“‘Father Abraham! ’ he called out, ‘Have mercy on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this flame! ’
“ ‘Son,’[fn] Abraham said, ‘remember that during your life you received your good things, just as Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here, while you are in agony.
Now a man was sick — Lazarus from Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.
Mary was the one who anointed the Lord with perfume and wiped his feet with her hair, and it was her brother Lazarus who was sick.
He said this, and then he told them, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep, but I’m on my way to wake him up.”
Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany where Lazarus[fn] was, the one Jesus had raised from the dead.
So they gave a dinner for him there; Martha was serving them, and Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with him.
Then a large crowd of the Jews learned he was there. They came not only because of Jesus but also to see Lazarus, the one he had raised from the dead.
