Suddenly they shouted, “What do you have to do with us,[fn] Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time? ”
At that time Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and revealed them to infants.
At that time Jesus passed through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry and began to pick and eat some heads of grain.
“Let both grow together until the harvest. At harvest time I’ll tell the reapers: Gather the weeds first and tie them in bundles to burn them, but collect the wheat in my barn.’ ”
“When the time came to harvest fruit, he sent his servants to the farmers to collect his fruit.
“He will completely destroy those terrible men,” they told him, “and lease his vineyard to other farmers who will give him his fruit at the harvest.”
“Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master has put in charge of his household, to give them food at the proper time?
“Go into the city to a certain man,” he said, “and tell him, ‘The Teacher says: My time is near; I am celebrating the Passover at your place[fn] with my disciples.’ ”
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news! ”

“At this time Moses was born, and he was beautiful in God’s sight. He was cared for in his father’s home for three months.
“Now, look, the Lord’s hand is against you. You are going to be blind, and will not see the sun for a time.” Immediately a mist and darkness fell on him, and he went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.
“although he did not leave himself without a witness, since he did what is good by giving you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons and filling you with food and your hearts with joy.”
“From one man[fn] he has made every nationality to live over the whole earth and has determined their appointed times and the boundaries of where they live.
Now as he spoke about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix became afraid and replied, “Leave for now, but when I have an opportunity I’ll call for you.”
God presented him to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so that he would be just and justify the one who has faith in Jesus.
For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.
For this is the statement of the promise: At this time I will come, and Sarah will have a son.
Besides this, since you know the time, it is already the hour for you[fn] to wake up from sleep, because now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.
So don’t judge anything prematurely, before the Lord comes, who will both bring to light what is hidden in darkness and reveal the intentions of the hearts. And then praise will come to each one from God.
Do not deprive one another — except when you agree for a time, to devote yourselves to[fn] prayer. Then come together again; otherwise, Satan may tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
This is what I mean, brothers and sisters: The time is limited, so from now on those who have wives should be as though they had none,
For he says:
At an acceptable time I listened to you,
and in the day of salvation I helped you.
See, now is the acceptable time; now is the day of salvation!
At the present time your surplus is available for their need, so that their abundance may in turn meet your need, in order that there may be equality.
