Ἰ´, at the end)), , indeclinable (in Josephus with a Greek ending, Καις, Καιτος; Hebrew קַיִן i. e. a spear, although the author of Genesis, Genesis 4:1, derives it from קָנָה to produce, beget, acquire, so that it is equivalent to קִנְיָן, Psalm 104:24 (cf. B. D. American edition under the word)), Cain, the fratricide, the first-born son of Adam: Hebrews 11:4; 1 John 3:12; Jude 1:11.
