but he became a priest with an oath made by the one who said to him:
The Lord has sworn

Now many have become Levitical priests, since they are prevented by death from remaining in office.
Now if he were on earth, he wouldn’t be a priest, since there are those[fn] offering the gifts prescribed by the law.
With these things prepared like this, the priests enter the first room repeatedly, performing their ministry.
Every priest stands day after day ministering and offering the same sacrifices time after time, which can never take away sins.
