“If that’s how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and thrown into the furnace tomorrow, won’t he do much more for you ​— ​you of little faith?

“But seek first the kingdom of God[fn] and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.

Suddenly they shouted, “What do you have to do with us,[fn] Son of God? Have you come here to torment us before the time? ”

When the crowds saw this, they were awestruck[fn][fn] and gave glory to God, who had given such authority to men.

“Caesar’s,” they said to him.

Then he said to them, “Give, then, to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”

Jesus answered them, “You are mistaken, because you don’t know the Scriptures or the power of God.

“Now concerning the resurrection of the dead, haven’t you read what was spoken to you by God:

He said to him, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.

“And the one who takes an oath by heaven takes an oath by God’s throne and by him who sits on it.
