Now when they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Get up! Take the Child and His mother and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod intends to search for the Child in order to destroy Him.”
“When they persecute you in one city [because of your faith in Me], flee to the next; for I assure you and most solemnly say to you, you will not finish going through all the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.
“A BATTERED REED HE WILL NOT BREAK,
AND A SMOLDERING WICK HE WILL NOT EXTINGUISH,
UNTIL HE LEADS JUSTICE TO VICTORY.

Now from the sixth hour (noon) there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour (3:00 p.m.).
Jesus immediately insisted that His disciples get into the boat and go ahead [of Him] to the other side to Bethsaida, while He was dismissing the crowd.
And Jesus said to them, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, there are [fn]some of those who are standing here who will not taste (experience) death before they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power.”
