STRONGS G1148:
Δαλμανουθά [on the accent cf. Tdf. Proleg., p. 103], , Dalmanutha, the name of a little town or village not far from Magdala [better Magadan (which see)], or lying within its territory: Mark 8:10 (cf. Matthew 15:39), see Fritzsche at the passage [B. D. American edition under the word]. Derivation of the name uncertain; cf. Keim, ii. 528 [(English translation 4:238), who associates it with Zalmonah, Numbers 33:41f, but mentions other opinions. Furrer in the Zeitschr. des Deutsch. Palaestin.-Vereins for 1879, p. 58ff identifies it with Minyeh (abbrev. Manutha, Latin mensa)].
