Hoph. Imperfect 3rd person masculine singular וַּיּוּשׂם Genesis 24:33 Qr (Kt ויישׂם Ges§ 73f) there was set before him (לְפָנָיו) to eat, compare OlMBAk. 1870, 389i. 435, who read also וַיוּשַׂם Genesis 50:26 he was laid in (ב) a mummy-case (for MT וַיִּישֶׂם), Di (ed. 4.5.6) allows this.

שׂוּמָה (van d. H. שׂימה Kt) perhaps noun feminine token of unluckiness, scowl; — 2 Samuel 13:32, so EwG iii. 234, H.172 (abbreviated from שׂמאל; or emendation שִׁטְמָה) We RSEncy. Brit. (9) DAVID Kit, compare Dr HPS.
