Strong's Number H7070 matches the Hebrew קָנֶה (qānê),
which occurs 62 times in 38 verses
in the WLC Hebrew.
Then he made the lampstand (menorah) of pure gold. He made the lampstand of hammered work, its base and its [center] shaft; its cups, its [fn]calyxes, and its flowers were all of one piece with it.
“The LORD will strike Israel, as a reed is shaken in the water; and He will uproot Israel from this good land which He gave to their fathers, and He will scatter them beyond the [Euphrates] River, because they have made their [fn]Asherim, provoking the LORD to anger.
Then let my shoulder fall away from its socket,
And my arm be broken off at the elbow.
“He lies down under the lotus plants,
In the hidden shelter of the reeds in the marsh.
Rebuke the beasts [living] among the reeds [in Egypt],
The herd of bulls (the leaders) with the calves of the peoples;
Trampling underfoot the pieces of silver;
He has scattered the peoples who delight in war.
Fragrant plants and saffron, calamus and cinnamon,
With all trees of frankincense,
Myrrh and aloes, along with all the finest spices.
The canals will become foul-smelling,
The streams of Egypt will thin out and dry up,
The reeds and the rushes will rot away.
“A broken reed He will not break [off]
And a dimly burning wick He will not extinguish [He will not harm those who are weak and suffering];
He will faithfully bring forth justice.
“You have not bought Me sweet cane with money,
Nor have you filled Me with the fat of your sacrifices;
But you have burdened Me with your sins,
You have wearied Me with your wickedness.
“Those who lavish gold from the bag
And weigh out silver on the scales
Hire a goldsmith, and he makes it into a god;
They bow down, indeed they worship it.
“For what purpose does frankincense come to Me from [fn]Sheba
And the sweet cane from a distant land?
Your burnt offerings are not acceptable
And your sacrifices are not sweet and pleasing to Me.”
“And all the inhabitants of Egypt will know [without any doubt] that I am the LORD,
Because they have been [only] a staff made of [fragile] reeds to the house of Israel.
And behold, there was a wall all around the outside [area] of the temple (house) [of the LORD], and in the man’s hand a measuring rod six cubits long (10.2 ft.), [fn]each [fn]cubit being longer than the [fn]standard one by a hand width. So he measured the thickness of the wall, one rod; and the height, one rod.
