The LORD came to Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what he had promised.
Joseph found favor with his master and became his personal attendant. Potiphar also put him in charge of his household and placed all that he owned under his authority.[fn]
From the time that he put him in charge of his household and of all that he owned, the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house because of Joseph. The LORD’s blessing was on all that he owned, in his house and in his fields.
The captain of the guards assigned Joseph to them as their personal attendant, and they were in custody for some time.[fn]
“Let Pharaoh do this: Let him appoint overseers over the land and take a fifth of the harvest of the land of Egypt during the seven years of abundance.
Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die, but God will certainly come to your aid and bring you up from this land to the land he swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

These are the men Moses and Aaron registered, with the assistance of the twelve leaders of Israel; each represented his ancestral family.
So all the Israelites twenty years old or more, everyone who could serve in Israel’s army, were registered by their ancestral families.
“Appoint the Levites over the tabernacle of the testimony, all its furnishings, and everything in it. They are to transport the tabernacle and all its articles, take care of it, and camp around it.
“The total number in their military divisions who belong to Judah’s encampment is 186,400; they will move out first.
