Εβερ. — ע׳ Numbers 24:24 perhaps (si vera lectio) belongs not here (= עִבְרִים Hebrews, Ἐβραίους, so Thes), but below I. עֵבֶר = the (land) beyond (the river), || אַשּׁוּר, so Di Kau.
Strong's Number H5677 matches the Hebrew עֵבֶר (ʿēḇer),
which occurs 15 times in 15 verses
in the WLC Hebrew.
And Shem, Japheth’s older brother, also had sons. Shem was the father of all the sons of Eber.
Eber had two sons. One was named Peleg,[fn] for during his days the earth was divided; his brother was named Joktan.
After he fathered Eber, Shelah lived 403 years and fathered other sons and daughters.
