They will live securely,
for then his greatness will extend
to the ends of the earth.
For the LORD will restore the majesty of Jacob,

This is what they get for their pride,
because they have taunted and acted arrogantly
against the people of the LORD of Armies.
The LORD[fn] will pass through the sea of distress
and strike the waves of the sea;
all the depths of the Nile will dry up.
The pride of Assyria will be brought down,
and the scepter of Egypt will come to an end.
