So Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh; for every Egyptian sold his field because the famine was severe upon them. So the land became Pharaoh’s.
“Honor (respect, obey, care for) your father and your mother, so that your days may be prolonged in the land the LORD your God gives you.
“You shall bring the choice first fruits of your ground into the house of the LORD your God.
“You shall not [fn]boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.
“You shall bring the very first of the first fruits of your ground to the house of the LORD your God.
“You shall not [fn]boil a young goat in his mother’s milk [as some pagans do].”
