But Paul called out in a loud voice, “Don’t harm yourself, because we’re all here! ”

Although they know God’s just sentence ​— ​that those who practice such things deserve to die[fn] ​— ​they not only do them, but even applaud[fn] others who practice them.

Therefore, every one of you[fn] who judges is without excuse. For when you judge another, you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, do the same things.

Circumcision benefits you if you observe the law, but if you are a lawbreaker, your circumcision has become uncircumcision.

For I do not understand what I am doing, because I do not practice what I want to do, but I do what I hate.

For I do not do the good that I want to do, but I practice the evil that I do not want to do.

For though her sons had not been born yet or done anything good or bad, so that God’s purpose according to election might stand —

For it is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, because it does not carry the sword for no reason. For it is God’s servant, an avenger that brings wrath on the one who does wrong.

For if I do this willingly, I have a reward, but if unwillingly, I am entrusted with a commission.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each may be repaid for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil.

I fear that when I come my God will again[fn] humiliate me in your presence, and I will grieve for many who sinned before and have not repented of the moral impurity, sexual immorality, and sensuality they practiced.

envy,[fn] drunkenness, carousing, and anything similar. I am warning you about these things ​— ​as I warned you before ​— ​that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Tychicus, our dearly loved brother and faithful servant[fn] in the Lord, will tell you all the news about me so that you may be informed.
