TDNT Reference: 6:318,873
Strong's Number G4149 matches the Greek πλοῦτος (ploutos),
which occurs 10 times in 10 verses in 'Psa'
in the LXX Greek.
The little that the righteous person has is better
than the abundance of many wicked people.
For one can see that the wise die;
the foolish and stupid also pass away.
Then they leave their wealth to others.
“Here is the man
who would not make God his refuge,
but trusted in the abundance of his riches,
taking refuge in his destructive behavior.”
Place no trust in oppression
or false hope in robbery.
If wealth increases,
don’t set your heart on it.
The brave-hearted have been plundered;
they have slipped into their final sleep.
None of the warriors was able to lift a hand.
