Strong's Number G1438 matches the Greek ἑαυτοῦ (heautou),
which occurs 13 times in 13 verses in 'Jer'
in the LXX Greek.
For my people have committed a double evil:
They have abandoned me,
the fountain of living water,
and dug cisterns for themselves —
cracked cisterns that cannot hold water.
For this is what the LORD says to the men of Judah and Jerusalem:
Break up the unplowed ground;
do not sow among the thorns.
They have contradicted the LORD
and insisted, “It won’t happen.[fn]
Harm won’t come to us;
we won’t see sword or famine.”
“Do not trust deceitful words, chanting, “This is the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD, the temple of the LORD.”
“But are they really provoking me? ” This is the LORD’s declaration. “Isn’t it they themselves being provoked to disgrace? ”
Their tongues are deadly arrows —

With his mouth
one speaks peaceably with his friend,
but inwardly he sets up an ambush.

This is what the LORD of Armies says: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They are deluding you. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the LORD’s mouth.
“I am against the prophets” — the LORD’s declaration — “who use their own tongues to make a declaration.
“Rather, each will die for his own iniquity. Anyone who eats sour grapes — his own teeth will be set on edge.
King Zedekiah sent for the prophet Jeremiah and received him at the third entrance of the LORD’s temple. The king said to Jeremiah, “I am going to ask you something; don’t hide anything from me.”
