“The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at Jonah's preaching; and look — something greater than Jonah is here.
When the men of that place recognized him, they alerted the whole vicinity and brought to him all who were sick.
Just then some men came, carrying on a stretcher a man who was paralyzed. They tried to bring him in and set him down before him.
When the men reached him, they said, “John the Baptist sent us to ask you, ‘Are you the one who is to come, or should we expect someone else? ' ”
(For about five thousand men were there.)
Then he told his disciples, “Have them sit down[fn] in groups of about fifty each.”

While they were perplexed about this, suddenly two men stood by them in dazzling clothes.
Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.”
There was plenty of grass in that place; so they sat down. The men numbered about five thousand.
While he was going, they were gazing into heaven, and suddenly two men in white clothes stood by them.
Now there were Jews staying in Jerusalem, devout people from every nation under heaven.
Someone came and reported to them, “Look! The men you put in jail are standing in the temple and teaching the people.”

In the same way, husbands are to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
Deacons are to be husbands of one wife, managing their children and their own households competently.
When they heard this, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what should we do? ”
“Therefore, let it be known to you, brothers and sisters, that through this man forgiveness of sins is being proclaimed to you.
Then Festus said, “King Agrippa and all men present with us, you see this man. The whole Jewish community has appealed to me concerning him, both in Jerusalem and here, shouting that he should not live any longer.
Since they had been without food for a long time, Paul then stood up among them and said, “You men should have followed my advice not to sail from Crete and sustain this damage and loss.
“So take courage, men, because I believe God that it will be just the way it was told to me.
